The hotel has a central location that allows for easy access to local attractions and dining options. The huge and clean rooms were a highlight, and the pool area made for a relaxing spot to unwind. However, the inconsistent service and issues with room cleanliness left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price point. Overall, while the hotel has its strengths, it definitely has room for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, but the furnishings felt dated, and the amenities were lacking. The balcony offered lovely views, but not all features were functional, such as the side tables with charging stations that didn’t work.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly, but there were noticeable inconsistencies. Some staff members seemed overwhelmed, which affected the overall experience when we had issues needing attention.
Location
9.0
The hotel is well-situated right on the waterfront, making it convenient for exploring Bar Harbor and accessing activities like boat tours. It’s also just a short drive to Acadia National Park, which is a major plus.
Dining
7.0
We had a pleasant breakfast with incredible blueberry pancakes, and the dining area provided nice views. However, there were limited dining options available on-site, which could be improved.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was well-kept and provided a scenic setting for relaxation, but the overall maintenance of common spaces could use more attention. It was enjoyable, but not as pristine as it could be.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel with its breathtaking harbor views and cozy accommodations. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which enhanced the overall experience. However, some aspects of the dining were not as impressive, and the parking situation could have been better managed during my visit. Overall, I found this hotel to be a great choice for enjoying the scenic beauty while being close to local attractions.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, featuring a wonderful view of the harbor and a nice balcony to relax on. The linens were high quality, and I felt right at home.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly and attentive, though the check-in process could be improved, as it took a while due to busy guests needing assistance.
Location
10.0
The location could not be better, just a short walk to various shops and restaurants, and less than five minutes from Acadia National Park. It truly allowed for easy exploration of Bar Harbor.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was enjoyable, especially the breakfast with incredible blueberry pancakes and beautiful views. However, I wish there were more options available on the menu for other meals.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were well-maintained, featuring lovely outdoor seating areas, but the pool and other resort activities were closed for the season during my stay, which was a letdown.

The Harborside Hotel is all about location; it's right in downtown Bar Harbor, making it super easy to explore the area. My family had a beautiful room with stunning views and a hot tub, which was the highlight for us. However, the service could use some improvement and there were definitely some inconsistencies with room maintenance. All in all, it was a great mini-vacation, especially with the deal for frontline workers.

Rooms

We stayed in the Boathouse Suite, which was spacious and offered beautiful views along with a lovely hot tub. The two bedrooms were ideal for our family, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, responding quickly when we requested towels or ice. However, there was a notable difference in enthusiasm compared to other places we've stayed.
Location
10.0
You can walk to almost everything in Bar Harbor—restaurants and shops are just steps away, plus it's a quick drive to Acadia National Park. The convenience was definitely a plus.
Dining
7.0
We enjoyed some good meals at the on-site restaurant, though the in-room dining option felt more like pizza delivery rather than a full dining experience. It was decent but not exceptional.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel features a nice pool area, which we loved for relaxation. It could use a bit more upkeep, but overall, it was pleasant.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, making my stay enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting Acadia National Park and exploring Bar Harbor. However, I wasn't thrilled with the additional resort fee, which felt a bit unnecessary. The dining options were good but could use a bit more variety. Overall, a great value for a seaside getaway.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, with a comfortable setup. I enjoyed the balcony, which while not having a direct view, still provided a nice spot to relax.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly and helpful, which contributed to my welcoming experience. However, during peak times, the response could be a bit slow.
Location

The location is exceptional, right next to the water and a short drive to Acadia National Park. It’s convenient for exploring shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor.
Dining

Dining options were enjoyable, especially poolside service, but the menu could use more variety to match that wonderful atmosphere.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were great with two pools and a relaxing hot tub, providing scenic views that enhanced the overall experience.

My stay at this hotel had some highlights, especially the beautiful harbor view from my room, but there were significant downsides as well. The unease I felt with the service and the hidden costs left a sour impression. The room was clean, but the overall communication from the staff and dining experience could be greatly improved. It's unfortunate because the hotel has potential, but I wouldn't prioritize returning based on my experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was quite standard with a clean and spacious feel, which I appreciated. However, I was expecting a king bed but received a double instead.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired. While some staff were friendly, the overall lack of communication and responsiveness from the front desk was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, right next to where the boats and trolley-buses leave, making it very convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
5.0
While the food that finally arrived was good, the delays and misunderstandings made the dining experience disappointing.
Facilities
6.0
I found the facilities to be decent but not fully operational, which was quite disappointing, especially the spa that was closed during my stay.
